Responsibilities#
Resolve an eligible destination, prepare a transfer, retrieve its result and map provider status. Cancellation is exposed only where the rail and provider support it.
Current behavior#
The local adapter waits briefly, validates the instruction and either writes a finalized receipt or records failure. Stable references prevent a second mock debit.
Before connecting#
Establish current limits, fees, timing, credentials, callback authenticity and ambiguous-result recovery. A timeout alone cannot establish whether a live payment settled.
